Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....Another big part of that is, I've been trying to stop drawing so much anime-type stuff and start moving on to actual art. No offense to people who draw in anime-style, some are actually really good. But most of the twelve- or thirteen-year-old girls who post retarded anime fanart on deviantART? You have to admit, most of that is not very good. My art? Was on the same level.
I'm not dissing anime itself, I just feel that when I do different stuff (which is rare), I do it better than when I draw anime stuff. Plus, let's face it. Art schools, if I ever get into one, are NOT looking for any more anime artists.
I've been trying to improve my style, but I just lacked the time and patience. Plus, I have a boyfriend, and a whole bunch of other things to worry about, which I'm not going to rant about here. But Jonathan's been at scout camp all this week, and my parents both work all day, so I've just been stuck at home with nothing to do and nowhere to go. So rather than moping around the house like a sad panda, I figured... this is a good opportunity to work on my art! (LE GASP Megan is an optimist, who knew?)
I don't have time to do anything right now, since my mom is yelling at me to go to bed... But tomorrow I'll upload some of the better stuff from my old account, though there isn't much... And since about half of the people who watched me on my old account only did so because of the Random Quotes, I'll probably put those up too, and maybe even some new ones... But only if enough people tell me to. Then later I'll put up some random doodles and stuff I did that I've been too lazy to scan and submit. I've done a few experiments with different media, and played with this wooden artist's model that I found under my bed. So, I'll put those up, even though they suck! Most of the stuff I've done so far is just photo editing and such... But whatever. I'll just put up as much of this stuff as possible to show what I've done, what progress I've made... and more importantly, to finally get this account up and running (it's about time)!
